justONE gets a J1 facelift

I have worked closely with justONE ever since I started freelancing (since early 2008), so when the Managing Director Ben Goodale said he wanted me to refresh their logo, I was honoured and excited – it’s not every day I get to put such a big stamp on a brand I love. Thank you Ben.

Maybe it’s just me, my latent dyslexia or old age, 2010 seems to be so easy to get wrong. Thank goodness my ‘Numbers’ software (Excel equivalent to all of you non-Mac people) completes my dates correctly. Well, at least I can still spell correctly and all the typos are down to my compact apple keyboard ;-)

Happy and very tired, I’m sitting here on the lounge couch like a good old couch potato reeling back my first ever Telethon experience. What a great fund-raising event! I got on with the typical online donation early on at www.bignightin.co.nz but thought I could do something more...

So I decided to quickly post a simple design in my Printfection shop: "I watched TV for 23 hours for a good cause." HERE.

I will donate all the profits from these products (US$2 per item) to KidsCan Charitable Trust as part of the Telethon NZ – Big Night In 09. The prices of the products are in US dollars and consist of:

Printfection base price which I have no control over (varies depending on the product)
a royalty of US$2, which is the part I will be donating to KidsCan (conversion to NZ$ using the XE currency converter).

The international shipping will be calculated based on your order and added to the total.

The products are available for purchase until 5pm on Sunday 16 August 2009 NZ time. I will then tally up the profits and post the US$ amount on Telethon NZ - Big Night In Facebook wall by 6pm Sun 16 Aug '09 5pm NZ time. The money will be deposited to KidsCan Charitable Trust once the profit total is cleared, in 7 days or so after the deadline.

When the brief for creating a logo, identity & POS for a brand new grocery/convenience store chain landed on my table, I couldn’t have been more thrilled. In fact, the brand didn’t even have a name at that stage – all me and copywriter Drew Ayres knew was that the stores would be replacing StarMarts in Auckland and Wellington CBD area.

After months of labour of love, we have a new baby: FIX! You may have already seen a few of them around, at least work in progress, and more transformations are being carried out along 2009. So pop in for your fix!
